We were quite busy this weekend. Saturday I was up at 9:30am...without an alarm or reasonable purpose which was weird to say the least. We worked, cleaned and went shopping and walking and ended up at a free concert. Los Lobos was playing at the Harbourfront Centre. Neither of us really knew their music but they were good, put on a great show and were really a lot of fun.
Today we went to drop off some old clothes at good will, checked out Zellers (wasn’t as ghetto as it was last time we were there a year or so back) and did some shopping at Wal-Mart. We got a set of 12 wine glasses which should keep us in good shape for the coming years when we’re serving people and breaking glasses. They’re not exceptional by any stretch but they’re nice and will serve well as general use wine glasses. For anything really special we have some crystal we can use.
I also finished cleaning up the proposal. It still astonishes me just how bad some people are with computers... But anyway, all is well that ends well and with about two hours work I made the document look good and filled it with some real details. If he takes us up on all of our proposals it will come out to ~$9,500. Of that maybe $4,000 is material costs and $2,000 is covering on-site labour. The rest is off-site labour and mark-up on the materials. We’re sending it off tomorrow morning and meeting with the guy on Tuesday. Shoud be good.
Oh, and congratulations again to Ian and Chris who (presumably) tied the knot as schedules on Saturday. Sorry I couldn’t manage to make it down. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.
Anyway, time to get some sleep.
